So excited! :)

I feel so blessed to be 8 weeks pregnant! My husband and I knew we wanted to try, but I expected it would take a long time; I'm an only, and my mom had a horrible time conceiving me and couldn't conceive again. (She had an emergency hysterectomy when she was in her early 50s, and ovarian cysts when younger.) My sister-in-law went through a hellish pregnancy, finally going IVF to conceive my (thank God healthy, and happy and amazing) twin niece and nephew, born in June. I stopped my birth control pills in June, and then we started trying in September... and here we are! We told his parents, sister-in-law and her husband, and of course our health care providers... next week we're telling my mom and I cannot wait! On December 15, 2009 we learned my dad was terminally ill with Stage IV lung cancer (he passed shortly after) - and just over two years later, on December 18, 2011, I discovered I was being blessed with immense joy again. I am so thrilled. Excited to check out TheBump but terrified by the acronyms! LOL

Congrats! Just goes to show not all IF issues are inherited.
