I'm sorry, I know we get a million of these vents on this board but today everything is bugging me. And when I told DH about it he told me to "ignore it, they mean well" and that just isn't jiving with me today!
I'm at work and every other question I get is: "when are you due?! You look ready to pop any second!" or "Are you going to be here when we get back up or will you go into labor!?" (I work at a tennis facility) Usually I'm pretty good about laughing it off and saying "Yep, any day now, we're excited" but just now I got this lady who is a semi-regular so that must have made her feel like her "professional medical opion" was ok to dole out (she's a tennis pro NOT a doctor)
her - when are you due?
me - next Wednesday
her - are you going to induce then if you don't go by Wednesday?
me (irritated because it's none of her business) - not until 42 weeks
her - oh no, you need to get that baby out as soon as possible, he's ready!!
me - *stare at her for a second* oh i'm sure the baby will come when he's ready - no rush to get him out!
her - you should tell your doctor to induce before then, you're HUGE!
me - ....
I wanted to scream at her. Ok vent over.

I was standing in SIL1's driveway yesterday talking to SIL2, and DH's aunt drove by and stopped. She stuck her head out the window and yelled, "Is it baby time?"
I was thinking, "Does it LOOK like it's baby time? If it was 'baby time' I wouldn't be standing in the damn driveway, would I?"
Luckily DH knows how irritated I am with people these days and he talked to his aunt for me.
Ugh.
