Can I join you? (Intro and Birth Story link)
Hi everyone! I hope you don't mind if I join you all. I can't believe I finally get to write this post and take this huge step.
Here's my short version of my story. DH and I have been trying to start our family since 2009. After a year and with the assistance of Clomid, we finally conceived our twins, Hannah and Liam. Unfortunately, that pregnancy was riddled with complications and at just over 13 weeks I went into pre-term labor due to a suspected clotting issue and partial placental abruption. I delivered our twins in the ER, hemorrhaged and ended up having an emergency D&C. 8 weeks later we were given the all clear to try again. We conceived again on that first cycle, but we ended up losing that LO as well. At that point I moved on to an RE and was diagnosed with PCOS, as well as a suspected clotting disorder. The RE began treatment and two cycles later, we conceived our son.
I had a relatively easy pregnancy until 32 weeks when I started having PTL again. I was on bed rest until 36 weeks. I got released from bed rest until a week later when my BP spiked and I was put back on bed rest for the duration of my pregnancy. Due to the BP and the fact that it looked like we were going to have a really big baby, I had a primary C section on Friday, 1/13/12. Everything went perfectly and we got the very best anniversary gift we could imagine (our 10 year dating/7 year wedding anniversary was on 1/14).
