Re: TTC 35+ Fit Club: Week 3 check-in
I rejoined weight watchers this past week and lost almost 2 pounds! Pretty excited! Worked out every day.
Song- I have a bunch mostly faster songs with a good rhythm.
I joined a gym! And have gone twice and signed up for personal training sessions. Yay!
I keep a bunch of stuff on my iPod just for working out that I'd seldom listen to otherwise (Justin Timberlake, etc. etc.). But some favorites that are both good songs and good workout music: Superstition, Stevie Wonder; Float On, Modest Mouse; Smile, Lily Allen.
Biggest healthy living success this week? Heard about this cool program called walk with walgreens. You sign up online and log your walks, and periodically they send you coupons. I created an account and logged a walk. Hopefully this will help me be motivated to get some extra walks in during the week.
What is your most inspiring song to listen to while working out? Pump It, Black Eyed Peas
Biggest healthy living success this week? Unfortunately, I feel like I have been backsliding this week. Nice weather has vanished and the cold/snow has set in. My husband lost his job last week, so for now WW and joining a health club are out of the question. We have been talking about getting a gym/pool membership at a resort near us. Went there and they will only take one year payment upfront. Might use income tax refund to join. Afraid to step on scale. Did forced overtime-16hour shift on Saturday and have a week of midnights, don't know how to stick to a fitness regimen when I'm working crazy hours!
Let's build a mixtape (or whatever the current personal technology equivalent is). What is your most inspiring song to listen to while working out? Don't usually listen to music, usually prefer walking and talking with either a friend or my husband.
Biggest healthy living success this week?
Instead of partaking of the usual big Sunday breakfast with my husband (cheddar omelet, toast w/ butter & jam, veggie sausage links), instead I had a fruit & yogurt smoothie. Now I know, if I can do that on Sunday, I'll be good every day of the week! What is your most inspiring song to listen to while working out?Jamiroquai: Canned Heat. You know, the Napoleon Dynamite dance skit song! Yeah! Looking forward to two yoga classes again this week, and am hoping it warms up a little so I can get a couple of hikes in!Beat stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma May 2011, YEAH!!!

Biggest healthy living success this week? Sadly, I have fallen off the wagon already this past week. I have not moved at all unless you count cleaning and doing laundry yesterday. I have also been eating non-stop. Today was my birthday, and I had lunch out and dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. I am so full I feel sick. Plus I ate out on Thursday and Saturday. I am hoping to start fresh this week, though I know my coworkers will have cake for me tomorrow. Sigh - at least I need to get back to the gym.
Let's build a mixtape (or whatever the current personal technology equivalent is). What is your most inspiring song to listen to while working out? I really like the Black Eyed Peas for working out. I recently downloaded Let's Get It Started, Imma Be, and Boom Boom Pow. I also downloaded LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem and Sexy and I Know It, Flo Rida's Low, and Pitbull's I Know You Want Me.
