Trying to Get Pregnant

Prenatals?

Hello Lovelies :)

I have been taking Women's Once A Day Multivitamin. My OBGYN told me to switch to Prenatal Vitamins. I had a bad experience with the rx ones he gave my first pregnancy, they made me so sick to my stomach I couldnt hardly stand them. He said that any over the counter one would be fine, so I was just wondering what some are that work well for some of you!  TIA! Hope you all had a great Monday!

Re: Prenatals?

  • Try a gummy brand.  There are several out there.  I think Target sells 2 different ones.

Also, try taking them at night before you go to bed.

ETA: I take NatureMade.  I get them at Target.

  • I like the Simply One Prenatal from Whole Foods.  I like them because they also have green food in them which is easier for your body to take in.  I have not had any issues with them.  Also, I take them right before bed so I might sleep through any issues....

In addition to the prenatal I take fish oil

  • Some women get sick because of the amount of iron in prenatals.  Tell your doctor about how you got sick and ask if there's a "low iron" version he can recommend to you.
