How long should 'show' last? TMI warning

I started getting what I thought was bloody show about 8 hours ago. I've used the bathroom like 6 times since and there is just tons and tons of clear discharge (ew I hate that word) tinged with bright red blood. Not a lot of blood but definitely a consistent amount each time. I lost my plug about 2 weeks ago and this seems different. Does this sound like something I should be concerned about? If it's bloody show is it normal to last this long?

    Mine was not red, but it was brownish pink and a lot! It lasted approximately 3 days for me, my water broke at 9 last night, and I'm currently in L&D. I would call to give your doc a heads up just in case, if it's a lot of blood they may want you to get checked ouut. Good luck!

    Have you called your OB yet?

    Bright red blood can be normal, but your doctor should be informed immediately. I saw bright red with DS and I was induced later that day. Good luck and definitely call if you haven't already! :-)

    I had a mixture of brown, clear, clear w/ blood for 4 days. Started on Monday, had DD Friday morning :)

    I had mine for 2 days before I started having contractions.  Definitely don't feel bad for calling your doctor about it.. I actually went to the hospital when mine started because I thought it meant I was either going into labor or something was wrong.

    I had mine for 24 hours (almost exactly) before my water broke. It was bright red and was just a small amount at first, then I lost my mucus plug 2 hours after it started. Sometimes it was just drops in the toilet, sometimes it was when I wiped, it got heavier and heavier as the day went on, by that night it was like a light period.

    Good luck, this may mean your on the home strech!
