ohh... too soon to see!

arg. 

went for my first sono at 6 weeks! Waited an hour.... since it's the holiday they were backed up.

Turns out- they can see the sac but anything else was too small....Sono tech said i am probably closer to 5+ weeks not 6+.

should i be concerned about this?

My doc is going to call me tomorrow to change 1st OB appt. and i guess make a repeat sono.

I am so bummed and worried... is it just too early? or should i be worried??

    My us showed I was 4 days behind with both of pregnancies.

    It is very common not to see anything this early

    I wouldnt worry about the dating, it's probably too soon to really know.  Personally, I think that may have just been too early for an ultrasound.  It freaks people out too much and I'm happy my Dr does the viability U/S at 8-9 wks.

    With DD, she dated a few days behind when we had our official U/S (not just a viability) and then she was born 12 hrs before my official due date.

    Mt 1st U/S w/ DS was at about 5 weeks.  It was done at my Annual.  There was really nothing to see-- just a small blur.  She basically just told me the baby was in the right place (not ectopic), but they couldn't see anything else.
    Married to the Love of My Life since September 14, 2002. 
    Me: 39 DH: 36
    BFP#1: 10/20/08,  EDD: 6/29/09
    PIH, bedrest for 4 wks, delivered at 39 weeks by induction and then c-section- Healthy baby boy on 6/24/09 :-)

    BFP#2: 11/24/11, EDD: 8/4/12, Angel Baby- 2/19/12
    Enlarged bladder seen on U/S at 12 weeks (1/15/12), possibly LUTO or Prune Belly, Heartbeat at OB on 2/17/12,
    No heartbeat/movement at U/S on 2/20/12, (missed MC), D&E:2/22/12.  Miscarried our sweet angel boy @ 16 wks

    TTCAL since June 2012, 
    Progesterone normal, FSH elevated & AMH on the low side--  "ovaries acting older"
    Clomid cycles: 50 mg in February, July, August, September, November 2013, June 2014--  BFNs!!  :-(
    August & September 2014: Clomid, HCG and IUI-- BFNs
    September 2014: FSH= 15.7 AMH= 0.25  UGH!!!  Old lady Ovaries!!!
    October & November 2014: Gonadatropin injections, HCG & IUI... BFNs!!

    We have been blessed with a sweet little boy.  
    Hoping to be able to give him a sibling someday.

    thanks everyone. i think its too early too for a sono. Alas, it worked for me last time... so, i figured it would be fine this time...

    Hopefully, next sono will be all good.

    I had the same experience at 5.5 wks, and just went back today for a follow up. Everything looked good and we saw the heartbeat. I'm about 8 wks now. I wouldnt worry :)

    Same thing happened to me at 6 weeks. Went back a week later and there was my HB.

    This is why I HATE that I had a u/s so early...causes too much stress.

    You probably just O'd late. I was measuring 3 weeks behind.

    It's normal to measure a week or so off from your LMP.

    I was around 4-5 weeks with my first scan and I was worried too! Don't worry... the baby grows so quickly and you will be surprised at your next scan! I was in the same boat however and happy that today I am 11 weeks and everything is going great! Congrats and enjoy this time!   :)

    With my daughter, my viability u/s changed my due date by 9 days! I was originally due 5-6 & jumped to 5-15. I delivered a perfectly healthy baby on 5-10 :)
