do you want to tell people to go f*** themselves?
I swear this weekend I wanted to say "go f*** yourself" at least 7 times after someone said something asinine to me.
For example:
"Oh, you're showing already?"
"You should really work out"
"Oh, you think you're in your 2nd tri? That doesn't start until the end of your 14th week" (Yes, I know this is one way of calculating the trimesters but not the only way)
"You should go easy on that salt, you'll get high blood pressure"
I've been able to give respectful responses so far but one of these days I'm going to lose it.
What gems have you been getting?
Re: How many times a day...
NICE!
My jaw would be on the floor! What are people thinking?!
I can't believe how many people - coworkers included - have been making comments about my breasts. Pre-pregnancy I was a 38D and now I'm a 38DD. In my opinion that's not a huge difference but people are freaking out over it. From a coworker I got "I bet your husband isn't complaining" - GROSS! STFU!
Not recently, but with my last pg a co-worker said, "Wow! You've really gained weight since you got married!"
I wanted to say, "No sh!t sherlock! I'm pregnant!"
Needless to say, this guy got fired for harassment. Not of me, but of many women co-workers. Ha! I was happy to see him go!
From a coworker, "idk what your pregnancy books say but you shouldnt eat white bread bc its really bad for you and your baby" WHAT?! really, same coworker told me not to eat ravioli bc there is msg in it.. thanks for the tip
MIL's boyfriend told me over a family lunch "When your in labor dont yell, that will get really old for DH" ...sorry but I will yell if I feel the need to lol, I think DH will understand
All of this sounds infuriating! I was a size 12 pre-pregnancy and if anyone says "you had a belly before" to me I would punch them in the ovaries.
