Daycare costs

I was wondering what the average cost for infant daycare is.  My BIL has offered to be our LO's daycare provider and I want to compensate him for his time; but I have clue what the going rate for infant day care is! 

He'll be watching our kiddo 3-5 days a week for about 8-10 hours a day.

    I was able to find a nanny on care.com for my son for the first couple of months for $10/hr.  But daycare in Seattle (Queen Anne) is expensive for  4 to 5 days--$1425-1495/month.  Some daycares are more expensive, and some daycares are less expensive--I think it depends where you live in Seattle.

Baby measured 9 weeks, still a heartbeat 12/23/09. Good NT Scan on 1/8/10, heartbeat 164. EDD 7/28/10. TEAM BLUE! Aidan Thomas born on May 26, 2010. Baby #2, BFP 11/27/11, EDD 6/5/12. TEAM PINK! Noelle Elizabeth born 4/30/12. Blessing from God, Blessing from God, Blessing from God, Blessing from God.

    in Everett we were paying $225/week for a center.  We now pay $195 for in-home

    I pay $880 a month for an in-home daycare on the eastside.  Centers in the Redmond area can run between $1,000 - 2,000.

    We are on the waitlists for 2 daycares in Seattle (hoping to start this summer), one in downtown Seattle near my work and one in West Seattle. Both we are looking to do 5 days a week - and the cost is $1600 at both of them. The cost will go down some after the baby is over 18 months old I believe.

    When my son was an infant we paid $45.00 per day for an in-home daycare. We provided all formula/meals wipes and diapers.

    When Lucy was in an in-home daycare in Newcastle we paid $40/day.  Now, with our nanny-share we pay $1200/mo.
