Somehow I missed your post about the birth of Layla. OMG, I am so excited for you and have been thinking of you often, wondering when that precious baby was going to get here. I'm so sorry to hear that you had some issues with your BP and that BFing didn't go according to plan, but she is absolutely beautiful and I just wanted to say congratulations and I am so happy for you and your DH!!
Re: ::Sascha3::
Thank you so much!! We are so happy:) I felt really guilty about the BF but she is sooooo happy and peaceful now that I no longer feel guilty. I am still pumping as much as I can and also BF a few times a day, so I haven't given up yet...but I am so happy to see how happy she is with a full tummy. Thankfully the BP issues did not affect her, only me. I have a tendency to feel like I am going to pass out at shots, blood tests, etc...so I guess I should have predicted that feeling with childbirth, haha. I didn't realize how low my BP goes when I feel that way!
How is your little Matthew doing? He is so adorable!! I don't know if I missed any other pictures, but I saw the beautiful newborn one of him and his rosy little lips:) Your birth story was crazy! That must have been really painful to dilate that quickly! But I am very happy for you and your Dh as well that you have a beautiful, healthy little boy:)

I've discovered that you have to do what works and if she needs formula to have a full tummy, so be it.
I figured you had gone into labor at some point because I hadn't seen you post for a few days, but I don't know how I missed your post about Layla's birth. I suppose I was busy being a new mom - LOL!
Matthew is doing well. He is sleeping better at night, though he still doesn't want to sleep in his crib or pack n play. I'm co-sleeping with him at night because I need to get some sleep somehow! I'm pumping as well, once or twice a day to get a little extra milk supply in case I need DH to feed him, plus I'm trying to train my body for when I go back to work (not sure when that will be yet) and will need the expressed BM for daycare.
As for my labor, yes, it was incredibly painful to dilate that quickly. I wasn't getting a break in between contractions once they started increasing in severity. I didn't know what was going on. Everything was a blur. Suffice it to say, if we have another child, I'm going to demand an epidural as soon as we get to the hospital, regardless of whether the hospital staff think I'm in labor or not. Ha ha! At least I had it for the pushing part, although part of me thinks that may have been less painful than the dilating.
I haven't posted any other pictures of Matthew. Is there a way to send a private message on this site? I would love to share some more pictures with you and see more pictures of your beautiful Layla too. I'm thrilled for you and your DH as well.
