OB Meet and Greet

I just called to schedule my first appt and was told that I had to go to a mandatory meet and greet.  I didn't ask and don't want to call back Embarrassed but is this something DH could/should go to?  Are we just meeting all the doctors in the practice?  TIA!

(first of many stupid questions to come, I'm sure!)

Re: OB Meet and Greet

  • I would try to bring DH, but wouldn't fight it if he didn't want to go. Which office is it? I've been less than completely happy with mine and I'm debating going to my practice's meet and greet to see if I like someone else better, but I don't know when it is.

  • Couldn't hurt for him to go.  I remember at our meet and greet, all of the women had husbands at their sides...

I have been going to them since 2008 and always been happy there.  The meet and greets are Tuesdays from 4:30-5:30 and Thursdays from 11:45-12:45. You might want to call if you decide to go because they asked me when I was going to go.

And thanks for the info, I will make DH go. Big Smile

  • I used them and brought my husband but I was a new patient. Did you mention to them you were a current patient? (it doesn't seem normal to have to meet them again.)

    Congratulations again!

  • If you can, I would take your DH. It never occurred to me the relevancy that DH hadn't met my OB when he was with me in the office last year. He was impressed with the thoroughness of her responses and her proactive approach. It meant a lot more to him than I would have guessed to know who was taking care of me for something so important.

I know that's a melodramatic and cheesy response, but it's a reason why your DH may want to go.
