I had a growth u/s a week before I delivered and the estimate was 5 lbs, 9 oz. I had another growth u/s the day I delivered and the estimate was 5 lbs, 4 ozs. The baby was 4 lbs, 14 oz at birth. I ended up delivering at 36w4d due to pre-eclampsia, so this might not be the same for a regular situation.
My last growth u/s was at 36w. At that point, DD was estimated to be 5lb 12oz, so they were estimating she would be 7lbs at birth (we induced at 39w). She was 6lb 11oz at birth, so pretty close.

5/1/11 - BFP #3 - Pre-eclampsia, IUGR & bed rest from 32w. DD born via induction 1/4/12.
At 36 wks they estimated my son at 6.13 lbs and said they predicted he'd be in the mid-7s when he was born (scheduled section at 38w5d)...he was 7.8 so they were exactly correct in our case!
I had an u/s a few days before delivering DS at 39 weeks last time (induced because of PIH) and they predicted that he would be 8 1/2 lbs if I made it to 40 weeks. He was exactly 8 lbs at 39 weeks, so they were right on (he would have gained that last 1/2 lb in the last week).
This time they are predicting 7 1/2 lbs, so we'll see!
My doctor said she'd be less than 7lbs, my ultrasound a week and a half before her birth said she was 6lbs 5oz which scared me because I still had three weeks to go. However, she was 6lbs 13oz at birth which is a half a pound more than at her ulrasound so I guess the ultrasound was right, but my doctor was wrong
Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!
With DS (almost 3 years ago) My MW felt baby the day I delivered (I had an appointment that morning, went into labor a few hours later) and estimated him to weigh 8 1/2lbs, he came out 8.4oz. Pretty good guess IMO for just feeling! She doesn't do U/S'.
I was so excited to hear what her thoughts were on this LO, but (s)he is posterior, so a lot harder for her to guess when she cant feel the whole body Guess it will be a big surprise!

I didn't have any growth scans with my daughter, just my doctor measuring and guessing based on experience. He said around 8 lbs...and she was just 3 ounces shy of that

My water broke on Wednesday am at 3 am and the hospital did a ultrasound when I checked into L&D and said she was about 7.5 lbs. I delivered that evening via c-section and she was 9.5lbs! So they were 2 lbs off. My big girl fooled them all
I had an ultrasound at 36 weeks and 3 days and he was estimated to be 5 lbs and 13 oz. I was induced and delivered at 37 weeks and 6 days due to mild pre-e and he weighed 5 lbs and 12 oz.
they only give % at ultrasounds here. DS measured anywhere from 70-95% on u/s. He was born on his due date, weighing 8 lb 15.4 oz, which I think puts him around the 90%

With DD (5 yrs ago) we had to have her at 35 wks b/c of pre E.
The day before they said the US showed 6 lbs she weighed 4 lbs
