Gender reveal- ish...

I went to the dr & based on the baby's heart rate she said she thinks it's a girl! I told the hobby that I knew, but he didn't ask.. He was unsure he wanted to know the sex from the beginning.. 

 

So excited!

    aw, may I ask what the heartbeat was? When I was at my NT scan on Friday it was 146. The tech looked, she thinks its boy but couldn't tell us for sure.

    I don't think heart rate is a very reliable predictor of sex...

    Our baby's rate was 146-160 and it's a boy so I am not sure how true those are but I hope they are right! :)

    I am pretty sure heartbeat thing only has scientific reasoning later in pregnancy, when we will already know the sex.

    My girl/boy twins have had similar heartbeats all along (yesterday u/s showed girl 153 and boy 158), so I'm not so sure that heartbeat is always a good predictor.

    Yeah I agree with the other ladies... Don't mean to burst your bubble but hb is usually not an indicator of sex.  Supposedly if it's above 160 then it's a girl, but DS was around 170ish the whole pregnancy.

    I wouldn't get too excited. LO's HB is at 165 and it's a boy! I believe DS's HB was around 160's as well. Unfortunately, it is not a good measure of sex prediction.

    Heartbeat is not accurate as a gender prediction method. DS's HB was in "girl range" throughout my pregnancy.
    We love our little guys!

    Doesn't mean anything.  I find it odd that a Dr. would serioulsy tell someone that the HR predicts the sex...

    I am surprised they used hb to tell sex as well. DS was typically around 140 at the beginning but was over 160 at the u/s we found out gender. They told me that this a girl (based on an u/s pic of three lines) at 15 weeks 2 days and her hb was about 156 so I don't know. its a fun guess but I'd say only a pic of their "stuff" is as reliable as you can get! Nothing is 100% though! Good luck!

    Ok well u all brought me back down to reality.. However it fits with what I've been feeling all along, so until they tell me otherwise! Lol
