Dd has been potty trained for a year now but she still wets her pull up every night. She also has been waking up early lately and I'm wondering if it's because he pull up is wet and she is uncomfortable? Is there anything I can do to help her stay dry or is it just one of those things that just have to happen on their own time? Thanks!
Re: Pt?- staying dry at night
There are things you can do to encourage night time potty training, but it is largely developmental. My DD was potty trained almost year ago and is just now getting to the point where she can go several days dry.
Limit liquids an hour or two before bed time. If you're really serious about trying to help her move forward, wake her up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom (we haven't been doing that, but I've heard some people swear by it). We've also been talking about it with my daughter. It's important not to focus too much on it, since they mostly can't control it, but talking about it has helped her become more aware of her need to go to the bathroom when she wakes up, and she's excited when she's dry in the mornings.
DD pt'd at 22mo. And wore a diaper to bed until a bit after her 4th birthday. Her 5yo cousins were spending the night and she wanted to wear panties like them. She didn't have an accident for months!!
And now, about a month ago, she started having multiple accidents per week. <sigh> it's just one of those things I guess. If it doesn't get better soon I'll put her in under jams.
