Farmer's Market Boxes

does anyone use the veggie delivery boxes??  I saw one on today's groupon and have been considering trying them out... however I'm not sure we'd use all the veggies.

Is it enough to get two adults who will mostly use the veggies at dinner through two weeks?  Or should I do it weekly?  Is the quality good?  I'm all about buying organic but don't want the crap that no one else wanted at the farmer's market.

Re: Farmer's Market Boxes

  • We're picky eaters, so we haven't done it.  We do buy a lot of our veggies from JBG and they're usually really good.  I have been frustrated that sometimes produce (especially tomatoes) don't last as long as the grocery store stuff, but that's probably just the way it is for organic vs. regular.

My SIL did their CSA for a while and mostly enjoyed it.  She did get 1 box that had moldy garlic in it, and another with a very out-of-season vegetable that she insists they must have gotten from HEB.
