My husband and I are trying for our second. We have been trying since Jan 1st. I wasnt feeling to good on the 7th so I went to the doc and she did a blood pregnancy test and a regular one. They both came back negative. I'm still not feeling good and now my breasts are tender. Do you think that maybe the tests were negetive because I didn't have enough pregnancy hormone in my body yet? I'm so frusterated!..I feel like I am but the doctor told me no..

Forgot to mention this in my post, but especially the bolded. I had to have a couple of blood tests back over the summer when I had a random extra long cycle (46 days) because they needed to do a CT scan and MRI. Yes, its annoying but those are super accurate.

Ovulation calenders are usually wrong.

I like science. Here's proof.
If you aren't temping that predictor isn't accurate. After all, mine told me to start trying on the 6th and I ended up O'ing on the 3rd (CD8). Or you might not have O'd at all yet.

Ovulation calenders are based on the "average" cycle. They really are just crap. The only way you'll know if you've ovulated is to take your Basal Body Temp. and chart it. Check out FertilityFriend.com. You can get there through any of our tickers.

Ditto. They have the same accuracy as throwing a dart at a wall calender to see where it lands.
Unfortunitely, I'm guessing PMS. Even if you really did ovulate on the 1st, the egg would be just implanting on the 7th (or may not have yet). Your body does not start to experiance pregnancy symptoms until the egg has implanted and your body has created enough HCG (which is after implantation) to start. So, if you really were pregnant & the symptoms you experianced were real (& not PMS), the blood test would have picked it up.

Your period ended on the 26th, you started trying on the 1st, even if you did ovulate that early (on CD 7) there is no way you could have ovulated, implanted and tested positive in 7 days when you went to the doctor on the 7th. The process is called a 2 weeks wait AFTER ovulation. Not one week from when you think you might ovulate. Sorry
Edit: I'm sure there are some people that get a postive at 7dpo but that is rare.
I usually feel like crap the first week or so after I ovulate.
If you were pregnant enough to have symptoms when you went to the DR last week then the test would have been positive. I'd say you aren't pregnant.

I've had many month where I swore I was pregnant. The mind is a powerful thing.

I think you should look up 'phantom symptoms' which happens to most of us during our first few cycles TTC. I recommend buying a basal body thermometer and taking your temps daily in the mornings so you can know if and when you ovulate and that's the time to have sex, make note it can take up to a year or more for healthy couples to conceive and you have a 20% chance each month, good luck !
