Re: Snow!
I mean snow is fun. But I have a toddler in daycare, and our daycare has a tendency to shut down if there is snow or if it is difficult for workers to get to work. Luckily, they were already closed on Monday due to the holiday, and my husband was staying home because his work was closed.
Hopefully, the snow will be light. Snow on Queen Anne on the hill is not fun, and it is easy to slip--which for me, would not be a good thing at this point--easier to fall when I am not pregnant.

I would love to see snow!
This is our first winter in Seattle. At home, we'd have feet and feet of snow by November, so it's crazy that it's January and there's no snow. I know it won't last, but it would be nice for as long as it does.
Both of my babies were born in snowstorms - with our first, there was no snow when we went into the hospital and a few feet when we came out!
But you know what would be really exciting for us (I know this is silly to most people)? A snow day. In 30 years, though snow storms with zero visibility, feet and feet of snow dumping in a matter or hours, -50 temps...I remember one single snow HALF day and they only called it because the buses physically couldn't get to the schools. We walked home that day - my dad had to pick me up and carry me home because the snow was over my head!
So, a snow day would be really novel for us!
Being our first winter here, we just didn't know what to expect or how to know when to call a snow day for ourselves or anything...so my husband went to work....wait...okay, never mind!
Decision made. He slid down the driveway and almost took out the mailbox!
And where we moved from, we would have had feet of snow for months at this point. We've driven in CRAZY snow our whole lives and combined, can remember one snow HALF day. But we've never done it on a mountain.
