DD's 3rd birthday party will be next month. I'm trying to decide if we should do any games/activities, but I'm not really sure if that's a good idea for this age group yet. What have you done or seen that works well for 3 year olds?
Will it be at your house? DS went to one house party and all the kids had a blast just playing with the birthday boy's toys! The mom did play one game, but not very many kids wanted to participate. Can you set up a play-doh table or an arts and crafts table? One of my friends ordered foam masks and crowns and tons of stickers and all the kids just decorated their masks and crowns and wore them the rest of the party.

The party will be at our house. We set up a playdough table last year and it went really well, so we may do that again. The foam art is a good idea, too. Thanks!
I'm thinking they'll mostly play with our toys but I'll also have some theme-related coloring pages, play pin the tail on the lion, and I also have an active game to play that we gave the boys for their birthday:
We had DS's 3rd b-day at our house, and it was nice enough to be outside which made it even better. His b-day is in October so we had the kids decorate little pumpkins and Halloween themed cupcakes to take home. They also spent a good amount of time just chasing balls around the yard and playing on our play structure.
