Sorry if I sound ungrateful, but I am due next week and I do not want any more used baby crap from other people. I have everything that we "need", I have a place for it all, it is all organized, and I do not feel like looking through crap just to find a place for the stuff I don't want.
I straight up refused to take any of the stuff DH's great aunt brought for us that was given to her by someone else to give to us. I am sorry that you had to pack it all in your car, but guess what, you didn't ask us if we wanted it before you took it from this mystery person.
Don't need sheets, have about 7. "Oh but you just don't understand that you will go through so many!". Doubt I will go through 7 in a day, and if I did, there is this new fangled contraption downstairs call the washing machine, AMAZING!
Don't need a rocking horse electronic game toy that plugs into your tv, LO won't use it for about 2 years. I am not storing that somewhere in my already packed house for 2 years.
I have enough stuff! I don't want anymore!!!! Especially your used crap that I didn't pick out or want!
Vent over. Thanks!! Lol
Re: Sick of people pawning off their baby crap to me
Haha!
My inlaws asked if we had a carseat... I am 38.5 weeks AND I babysit. Yes, I have one in every sive that *I* own and have an extra toddler seat borrowed from one of my kiddo's parents (1 infant seat with 2 bases, 2 toddler seats and a booster seat for the 6 yr old). Oh, and I might be picking an extra one up for my mom in March. She has my extra base, but she's deciding if she'd rather have a seat or not.
MH thought we could use another one & I had to threaten him within an inch of his life if he took this one. When we saw the one they had for us, it was a friggin toddler seat... they expected us to take it & use it right away... :-(
I do NOT plan to give birth to a child large enough to fit in there :-)

I sometimes take the view that I am a conduit through which some people need to get rid of stuff. I had a friend who's a border line hoarder, and who just didn't know what to do with the stuff that goodwill rejected. I took whatever she gave me, and moved it to its rightful home: the trash. She doesn't need to know where it ended up.
I'm all for reducing, reusing, and recycling, and realize that many newborn items get barely any use before the kid has outgrown them, but there are some items that are just done. I am ok with throwing them away if others aren't. Our house is just too damn small to house excess items!
