leapgirl8:
Margaret Felicity H____ and Henry Alexander H_____Margaret was my grandma's name, I've always loved it even though she didn't. We'll call her Meg, but would be just as happy for her to go by Margaret if she prefers it later. DW's middle name is Joy, which is a bit 70s to me but I love the meaning, so we chose Felicity since it's a synonym.
DW wanted Alexander as the first name, and I like it, but it's #6 nationally and #2 in the state where he'll grow up, and that was just too popular. We both love Henry and don't mind the alliteration. "Meg and Henry" and "Margaret and Henry" sound equally nice together to us. And nothing weird comes up when you Google either pair.
Re: XP: we picked names for the twins :)

As a Joy, I have to say that it's funny that you say you think of it as 70s. I've never heard that before, but it's a cute connection with Felicity.
Great names!
My mom is a Margaret and I always loved that my name is a derivative of hers. :-)
Maybe I don't have a heightened sense of smell, but I've never smelled any vagina on my pants. -- TSD

Thanks, y'all! We're happy.
Yes, Jen thought it was weird of me to say that Joy is "a bit '70s," and I couldn't really say why I felt that way. I looked and it did peak in popularity in '74, but it has been around for a long long time, obviously. I cop to being the odd one out here
Great picks! Of course I'm partial to your boy's name
Well done on google. Our favorite girl name has been ruled out due to a VERY unfortunate google incident... (If you wish, google Henry and June and see what we almost did to our [possible] children....)
