I really don't know what to do and I need some advice from other pregnant mommies lol!
I can't decide if I should have my baby shower at my house or my parents house. Eventhough my mom is throwing it for me I will feel like I am giving myself my own shower if I do it at my house, I also have to be watching all the kids constantly to make sure nothing gets broken like our 2 huge LED Tv's! My hubby is deployed right now so this will pretty much be all on me!
If I do it at my parents house, they live in a not so nice area with a house that is really small to fit about 50 people. They live about 40 minutes away from me.
If I do it at my parents home I will have to haul all the gifts upstairs to the baby's room.... lots of trips up and down the stairs when I get back lol! If I do it at my house, I will have lots of guests to help me carry all the gifts upstairs but have a huge after party mess to clean up lol!
Help! I need to decide by this week since I will be sending invites very soon.

Mine was yesterday actually and at my house. My mom, sisters, and my 3 good friends put it together. It went really well and they cleaned up after!! We did it this way because of it being a high risk twin pregnancy and the possibility of me being on bed rest (which I am not at this point) but it was nice to have it at my house!
The big plus being that you don't have to move all the gifts!! My husband was very happy about that! The pic below was taken yesterday <: first time I really dressed up during this pregnancy...
My sister is hosting it at my mom's house. I would ave liked it at my house, but it is much smaller than my mom's (which is only 5 mins away, so I'm not worried about hauling all the gifts)
I think that if you want it at your house, do it. You can always leave while your mom sets up so you don't feel like you're doing everything, and then come back before the shower starts.
My mom & sister are hosting my shower at my house. I have a lot more space for people to sit and eat. Plus, I have a lot more parking. And we won't have to kick my dad out of the house lol. We had my sisters shower at my house in July and it turned out nice. It will be nice not to have to pack all my gifts and unload everything too. I was worried about having to deep scrub my house by myself and clean up after everyone. My mom and DH are going to help me clean the Friday before my shower. And clean up shouldn't be too bad. It wasn't after my sisters shower. It was mainly putting all the food away and helping her load her gifts up.
