Re: feeling baby and having a titled uterus

  • I have/had a titled uterus too. The doctor said that it would title forward by 16 weeks. Mine actually did by around 14 weeks or so. I didn't feel anything until just this week. It really depends on if your uterus has titled forward you should be able to feel things soon. It also depends on how much belly fat you have. I know I've been told that because I have a bit more it might take a little longer to really start feeling things. At the moment its mostly a fluttering/popping feeling every once in a while.

  • Mines tilted and I *thought* I was feeling the baby at 15 weeks. I'm still pretty sure it was her. But at the time I was talking myself out of it.

  • I also have a tilted ute and felt my first kick at exactly 16 weeks. They were stronger and more consistent starting 17 weeks and 3 days (easy to remember because it was New Year's Day I felt him moving all day!)

  • With DS I started feeling movements around 16 weeks. With DD (this pregnancy) I started feeling flutters around 10.5-11 weeks. But then they stopped for quite awhile (just started feeling them close to 21 weeks again), and at my A/S I found out the reasoning being is that I have an anterior placenta. But I know that I was feeling flutters early on.

  • when you say tilted do you mean tilted to the back or front? Mine is way tilted to the front (my moms is tilted back and she didn't feel me til about 18 wks) and I felt her between 14 and 15 wks and I swear it was only that easy becuase it's so tilted forward.

  • I have a retroverted uterus too and also started to feel flutters very mildly around 13 weeks (I have a posterior placenta too, so I think that helped since there was no extra padding between LO and me). I was told that around 12 weeks your uterus rises, and even a retroverted one straightens out and more or less takes the same position as a non-titled one.

  • Tilted uterus here too. Doc told me that through the second tri the uterus should pop out more and you can feel the baby by the 2nd u/s. She was right! I felt the first flutter at 16 weeks and then didn't feel anything for awhile. Beginning last week(18 weeks) I started to feel light kicking here and there.... They have become more constant throughout the day but they aren't really hard yet. Like soft like stomach spams every half hour or so.. It's so great to feel even the tiniest bit of commotion down there :)

    Hope yours kicks soon!

  • I have a tilted uterus too, and I don't know if it has tilted forward or not yet.  I'll find out today when I go for my 18wk appointment.  Still haven't felt anything kicking in there yet, even though I'm 18 weeks. I'm a little worried, hopefully I feel him soon!
