  • I think moondough is permanently ground in to my basement carpet. It's horrible. DD got some more for her birthday, and it went straight into the "donate" pile. Play dough is for sure the way to go.

  • Moon dough has been banned from this house. If the girls want to play with it, they have to do so outside.

  • Moondough is the gift you give a kid if you don't like their parents.

  • Ok thank God I'm not the only one that thinks this.  I thought, "what, is this stuff old?  Defective?!"  ...it crumbles up and gets all over the damn place.  Max got some for his birthday a week ago and of course they wanted to play with it immediately.  It came with some farm kit where it would crank out animal shapes.  Yeah right.  Terrible.

  • They are totally different things. I have hard wood floors. My kids prefer moondough. We also play with moonsand.
  • Moondough is evil.

DH got some in the track of our sliding glass door. It will not come out. I am reminded of how evil this stuff is everytime I open the door.

  • I guess I'm the only one who likes moon dough lol, and we have carpets. Play doh has always been horrid to me, It smooshes into the carpets and I have the hardest time cleaning it. Our moon dough doesn't do that, it's easier for me to vacuum up. Plus I like how it doesn't dry out.  But, we also play moon sand here and I know many hate that.  I don't mind messes from stuff like that, I just use the vacuum after to clean it all up.

  • We love both.  I'm not sure why moon dough always gets such a bad rap.  We just sweep it up when we are done and it cleans up just fine.  I wouldn't use it on carpet though.
