Anyone else been eating horribly?

I feel like I'm trying to get in some guilt free eating while I still can! eek and being hungry all the time doesn't help! anyone else?

  • YES!!! Cant stop eating.. opting for healthy choices though but I am gaining almost 2 lbs a week even though my non-stop eating consists of grains, fruit, cereal and some protein too. Cant help it. Friday and Saturday I ate until I threw up! I know, gross, but cant help it!

  • Me! I've been an awful eater through this entire pregnancy. First tri I was so nauseas I only wanted carbs which often came in the form of cheese fries. I gained over 12 lbs just during that time alone. Then after that I mostly want whatever greasy nastiness I can get my hands on. I literally dream about the frozen yogurt place they opened next to where I work and I'll eat it for lunch!

    My last pregnancy I only craved meat, so at least it was mostly protein with the occasional sour candy craving.

    When I was pregnant with DD I ate nothing but watermelon and cheese.

  • Yeah I've been terrible the past few days. Cookies, icecream you name it. Of course I do make healthy dinners.. its the nonstop snacking!!

    Right now my fav fav fav thing right now.. its just toast with melted peanutbutter. I can't get enough of it. At least I'm eating it on 100% whole grain bread right... thats good.. right? LOL

  • ooooh yeahhh... im always a horrible eater, pregnant or not. but, once baby gets older you'll be chasing him/her so much (if you happen to give birth to a monster like i did) you will barely have time to eat!

    Yes, and for this reason!! I have a list on the fridge of "okay" foods for after the baby comes so I can get my body back. Right now, I'm eating everything that I cut out.... white carbs, desserts, soda, etc. It's terrible and my weight it skyrocketing, and I try and even it out with a good chunk of veggies in the day, but still.... mmm.... bread.......

  • Ya'll are making me jealous!! I ate that way through my first 2 trimesters and then got diagnosed with GD a few weeks ago. Someone eat a fudge covered dipped cone for me!

    Aw! I did vice-versa. I was super paranoid about my weight and obsessively kept track of what I ate the first 2 trimesters. Got to the 3rd and said "Screw it, I'm eating!!" While I now have a double chin, I figure 3 months eating fun food in the long run won't be SO bad.... as long as I get back into my regular regimen after labor.

  • oh god i'm regretting opening this post.  now all i want is melted peanut butter toast and ice-cream and just about everything else you all have listed! i have to cut myself off by 8pm or else i will be up all night swimming in acid reflux.  currently staring down a mickey mouse shaped rice-krispies treat...

  • I have been STARVING the last day or two and keep eating everything in sight. Yesterday I ate:

    OJ

    Cereal

    Bananna

    Bean & Cheese Buritto

    PB & J

    Cranberry Juice 

    Olive Garden Bottomless Salad & Breadsticks

    Olive Garden Chicken Parmesan & a side of fettuccine alfredo 

    A bag of palmers chocolate peanut butter hearts 

     (Here is where I would insert the embarrassed face smiley if I could get it to work)

  • yeah... I just ate a half a pint of double dark chocolate gelato.  Kinda regretting it... kinda not.

  • Yes. I bought a bunch of frozen foods (pizzas, toaster scramblers, etc) and just easy stuff for when the baby comes, but I've been too lazy to cook so we're eating it all now, lol. Plus, I have had serious cravings for ice cream.

  • I've stopped at Culver's for custard 3 times in the past few weeks...not something I generally do. And I made some yummy chocolate/caramel bars today. So, yeah, not so good lately.

    I also just bought cinnamon chex for the first time...and I will not admit I ate half the box in one sitting..... (oh wait I just did, didn't I? LOLOL)

    I'm loving cereal of all kinds right now, too.  The theme of 1st tri was cheese-its.  Second tri I wanted pineapple.  Third tri it's honey bunches of oats and honey nut cheerios.

    My said something about how much sugar is in Rice Krispy Treats and I'm always like 'oh but look at all the vitamins in there! There's 25% of everything in one serving!' lol.. (I usually eat more of the healthier kinds though)

  • Oh I'm so glad I opened this post! This has totally been me and I've been feeling so guilty about, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one!  Like many other posters, I haven't been eating super healthy this whole pregnancy but I've been trying! TONS of water, healthy dinner, at least one fruit and/or veggie everyday (which isn't great I know, but is more than I normally do...)  but the sweets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  If I could have brownies and ice cream for every meal of the day, I would! All I want is chocolate, I can't believe I've gained as little weight as I have!
