Sharp pain when baby moves

The baby is lying really low. I think he feet are against my left side (as far over and back as he can get). When he moves around, it cause me sharp pain on my left side. I've been doubled over a couple of times from it. Kellen made me uncomfortable, but I don't remember movement causing this kind of pain. Anyone else having this? Any advice?

  • Liam is high up for me and moves against my ribs so hard sometimes it actually bruises me. (I bruise easily)... but it hurts. bad.

  • I get some zingers, too.  I find pressing back against LO helps.

  • I've gotten some sharp pains as his foot or elbow gauges my side.  Like PP said, rubbing that area helps or I lie on the opposite side in hopes he'll flip or move.

  • I asked my doctor about this at my 31 week appointment and she said it's just the baby getting stronger. She said to be happy he is healthy and active! But yes, it hurts quite often when he moves now. It almost is like he is pinching and biting my insides.

  • I always thought DD was very active, but this baby puts her to shame. It is constantly tap dancing around in there. I am actually wondering if it isn't just more noticeable to me because things have already been stretched by baby #1, so my ute already knows the drill? Anyhow, I tend to just kind of rub the area where I am noticing the protrusion and that usually persuades LO to move.

  • I got a kick to the cervix area yesterday that REALLY hurt. I yelped! I don't think there's really anything you can do for it though- Baby is just getting stronger!
