  • You could call, but I wouldn't go in unless they tell you. My little stinker is transverse and they haven't done anything about it.

  • Call about it only if you feel yourself starting to go into labor.  Otherwise, there isn't anything they can do about it ahead of time and there is always a chance she could turn head down again.  My cousin actually had all three of her sons (one a home water birth) turn from transverse to head down during the course of labor.

If she is still transverse when you go into labor, it might mean a c-section, but there will be time to figure out that once you get going labor-wise.

  • My baby was head down, but posterior.  So I did a lot of being on all 4s to help him rotate.  He didn't until I started pushing, but it was worth a try.  I would not call l&d or your dr at this point.  But maybe google to see if there are particular positions that can help transverse babies turn and try those until your appt thursday.
  • www.spinningbabies.com has some really great tricks and techniques to get your baby to turn.  I'd check them out and try some of the things they recommend.  I don't really see the need to call your dr as there isn't anything they can do for you at the moment and it's not really and emergency.  Of course, if you go into labor then a call is warrented.
