Operation Girls' Night Out was a success

My friends and I planned on going out a few weeks ago and it finally happened last night. All the husbands watched the babies and we went out for exactly one drink and appetizer. I made mine count. I got a pomegranite martini. It was glorious to have close to 3 hours to myself (including travel time). DH even helped clean the house earlier so the other dads could come over. And yes, I said DH cleaned!!! He did such a great job with the bathrooms. I asked him what I have to do to keep this new DH. He said to continue buying Guiness.  I wish we could do this every weekend :)

    I'm so glad you got to get away. It's hard for me to do that. I'm glad DH sees how much I do for him and our family but honestly, it wears me down. So he and I have a deal, I get one break a year. Anywhere I want to go, all inclusive.

    My SILs and I are going back to New Orleans. Yes it's only an hour flight from Texas but we love that the area is so different from where we live. We are going to make the most of our 5d4n getaway. St. Patty's Day, here we come!

    That's awesome!!  I wish DH drank Guinness so I could get a girls night out, or even just him cleaning would be nice. haha.

    Everyone deserves a little time out once in a while. You should ask...you never know. Maybe agree to a night out for DH another weekend.

    Oh you know we will. My SIL and I went last year after Isla came home from the NICU. I had a few weeks left of maternity leave and DH saw how worn out I was. He sent she and I for the weekend and it just happened to be St. Patty's Day there. We were on the parade route catching beads and already planning to come back this year. This time we're bringing more ladies with us. Should be fun.

    I guess I could ask again and add the "you get a night out too" to sweeten the deal. : )
