car seats for lexus is 250?

Has anyone had to find a car seat for a Lexus IS 250? I have one, and I'm having a hard time finding information about which seats will fit my car. Any insights?

  • I don't have any specifically to suggest, but you can take your car to Buy Buy Baby and Babies R Us and try out their carseats in your car.  It was SUPER helpful for us when we bought our carseats.

  • I feel your pain. I have a Lexus SC430 and there is only one seat for an infant that will fit in it, (and that is if the passenger seat is all the way forward). it was really difficult to find info on what seat would work, (if any), but I found the answer online after hours of googling and going through Lexus chat discussions. What works for my car is the Combi Cocorro. It will probably work for yours too, but you likely have more than one car seat option since I have the smallest backseat on the planet! Oh, and yes I am probably going to have to part with my car after this summer! Good Luck!

  • My husband has a 3 series BMW so it has a tiny back seat. We went to BBB to test out seats & ended up with the Safety 1st onBoard 35 air. It will actually fit in the center seat without having to scoot up either seat. :) It is a skinner seat than most & it works perfect between the seats. On carseatblog.com they actually fit it in a Prius & did excellent in the crash tests on Consumer Reports.  This seat is really nice & I like the handle better than the others we looked at.  Just an FYI-it is a diff seat than the Safety 1st ones normally in the travel systems (they look inexpensive-this is nice & up there with the Chicco). It works great with the Clic It stroller....so you can get a stroller for it. :)

I would look at this one or the Chicco (depending on how your seats fall). GL!

  • NOT the Britax Chaperone..its a snug fit so its super annoying to get it in/out. I'm tiny and between the snug space and it being heavy (& especially early on when I was healing from my c-section) it is not fun =[..I wish I had tried it out before I bought it. I would definitely aim for something on the small side and if you could go and try it out before purchasing.

  • I had a 350 when my daughter was first born and my maxi cosi mico fit but barely!
  • I sold my Lexus when we started trying for kids and I. Glad I did. I loved my IS, but man, that backseat is small!
