This post is further evidence for my argument that there ought to be birth control in the water and some kinda of screening/application process for an antidote.
I hope you are mud and in fact not pregnant. And if you are in fact pregnant I hope you give your baby up for adoption to someone who is not a moron and will be a better parent than you.
This. How high do you want the chances to be that your baby will die becuase you wanted to induce early? Disgusting.

i have said this exact thing many times.

i wish i could be joking but my dad is the music teacher at a church so he owuld be mad. we had sex, all the time how bad i know but we dont want to wait and he said GREAT OH KAY! and I was really feeling the wets? down there- too embarsed to say- but he acted like man.
Guys look out, this might spur on a discussion about our "attitudes"
LOL
In fairness to us, we are in the 3rd tri and have the right to be crankypants. ALthough I am pretty sure I would want to kick OP in the vag under normal circumstances as well
Depends on your reasons. If it's for the health of you or your baby your doc will be the one to initiate the discussion of induction. Otherwise, just hang in there. 3rd trimester is tough for sure, and we all want it to be over. But it is best for your baby to spend as much time in there as possible, and likely they'll come when they're good and ready. Hang in there!
lame MUD isn't even worth it anymore. is there no originality anymore?
OP, just breathe in a bunch of pepper and maybe you can sneeze your baby out, or push real hard next time you poop, if you do it right it could be a water birth!!

Sad! Hope u are joking, if not, I will pray for u. If u are dumb to ask your doc that stupid question, I hope she/he alert child services on your a$$ to protect that baby from u. Yes, pregnancy has its up & downs but it does not give u the right to ask such crazy question.

You really need to ask your doctor this question. Technically, babies are considered full term two weeks before their due date. However, most doctors will not induce before the due date at minimum and some won't induce until after the due date, unless there is some medical reason to do so. There is no way for anyone on this site to answer that question for you.

I doubt that they would call social services, because anymore half of these quacks out here that are so called 'doctors' are all up for inducing for convenience. I get so pissed everytime I read a post like this. My aunt is an anesthesiologist and she's told me a few times of doctors performing even csections because the mother wanted it. All because she didnt want to go through the pain of labor.
People make me sick. Apparently they've never heard of sacrifices for the things you truly want. And any doctor that would induce for any reason relative to 'the mother wanted it' shouldn't be allowed to be doctors!
Wow, this board is lucky to have gained so many supportive experts recently! Most insurance companies will support an induction any time after you've reached the 39 week mark. Also, you will find that many women who look down on inductions have zero experience with one and are likely ignorant to the working mothers and soon to be deployed fathers who have had to schedule one. GL!
Exactly- sneeze really hard and birth your baby in the toilet? Kick a pregnant woman in the vagina? Screen inquisitive mothers and put birth control horomones in the water supply? Who are the "ladies" and self proclaimed protectors of children writing these stomach turning comments? Mud or not, I hope you don't resort to these revolting and unladylike comments in your everyday life. Otherwise I feel very sorry for your yet to be born children for having such crude mothers.

I love how the same posters who condemn those of us for being "judgmental" are just as judgmental, but apparently fail to see that fact.
Hope you feel better up there on your moral high horse.
I think most doctors will have you wait until you're at least 37 weeks and then it depends on the doctor and your circumstances. Mine decided to induce me at 38 simply because they thought I would be "easily induced". I wasn't, though. Two days of Pitocin and wound up with a c-section.
I don't understand everyone's reaction... maybe she's having health issues or something

I don't get the harsh and rude comments either. The OP unfortunately did not give a lot of context for her question, but I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt and assume she means "when will the doctor induce once I'm at term."
I know a lot of women, most of them professional women, who schedule inductions just so they can better plan their maternity leave. Some have inductions for other reasons. Duh, of course they let their babies go to term and don't induce when it would be a health risk for the baby. Besides, late term babies have health risks of their own.
I find it amazing that something like this got such nasty comments, but yet there are so many more things that people ask about that might really harm or be detrimental to a child's health that it's not PC around here to judge.
I think that people are skeptical because the op is an account that has never posted before and also because this topic has been a common one to get people going. If it had been someone with a more reliable posting record or perhaps a bit of background, the responses would have been more thoughtful. However I must say, evil pregnant woman that I am, as I'm quite sure this was MUD I was thoroughly entertained by the replies.

No Kidding. . .for all any of us know, the answer she was looking for was 41 vs. 42 weeks. . .Take control of your hormones, ladies. Sheesh.

Nah. If OP wanted educated, thoughtful responses she would have given the board some information. Or at the very least, returned to offer more information. Let us not forgot that general answers to this question can easily be found online. She wanted exactly what she got - to stir the board up.

BHAHAHA! Love this! Great advice!
This. Why even bother responding to something that is clearly MUD?
What reason could you possibly have for inducing as soon as you can?
ok....assuming this post is real...

Ha. I was thinking about responding, "As soon as the pee dries" but I thought that would be too much.
