  • I started swaddling DS around 2 weeks because he just wasn't sleeping more than an hour otherwise. Last night was the first time I tried him with an arm out since then...he gave me a 4+ hour stretch which I found encouraging but it was really restless and I heard him wake a few times. I think he's getting there but...not quite 100% yet.

  • We stopped swaddling at two weeks. He hates it. He's been in a bassinett but last night he slept in his crib and he did fine.
  • My LO quit tolerating swaddling at 4 weeks. He likes to stretch his arms and legs out in snow angel position and sleeps just fine for up to 8 hrs at a time. We do use a wearable blanket/sleeping bag, but it's just for warmth and doesn't restrict his movement.

  • DD has been in her crib since day 1 and we stopped swaddling around 4 weeks. Now that it's colder we use a sleep sack.

  • We haven't had any luck. DS is still startling himself awake so we swaddle.

  • My LO has been swaddled since day one. It's the only way he sleeps for long stretches. He's 2.5 months now. He's still not ready to sleep w/o it but during the day when he doesn't sleep as long anyway we try not to swaddle him (only works in swing etc not crib). Can't give you much advice since we're not there yet either. I did ask his Ped at 2 month checkup and she said it's fine even during the day as long as he is asleep. He's really strong and very active when awake and not swaddled so for now we're still rolling with what gets us all better sleep.
