Re: Amazon Mom Changes
You mean you don't want Marley on there ordering Beggin' Strips?
I think I'll be using diapers.com from now on.
LOL, Marley would order some diapers so he could eat them! When I used disposables I cant tell you how many times he would try to dig them out of the garbage like it was his lifes mission!
Is diapers.com a good deal? I never used either of those. I always got Target or Walmart brand, I think i'd get 96 for 13 dollars, up to size 4. I know some diapers dont work good on certain babies though. Maybe we have been lucky!
You made me curious, so I ran some price comparisons. This is for a 140 count box of Pampers Baby Dry Size 6.
Amazon - $47.19 regular, $44.83 with subscribe & save discount
Diapers.com - $45.99, they accept paper coupons that you mail to them
BRU - $45.99, but they have a buy 9, get 1 free program
Target - $49.99
Diapers.com accepts paper coupons (you mail them in) so that's a plus. BRU has a Buy 9, get the 10th free program. They also run a lot of "Buy 2 boxes of diapers, get a base of wipes free" deals. Target you have to watch for sales and hope you're one of the lucky people that get their coupons in the mail.
We're still planning to switch to cloth, but we have to get this washer/dryer situation figured out first.
It sounds like its worth the hassle to just have them sent to you. Especially since you said you live farther from stores than my 3 mile drive to Target or whatever. Do Pampers just work best for A? To me, that price is insane! Does she leak out of others?
Speaking of insane prices..I am so happy to be on my last can of formula!!
Yea, $46 sounds pretty crazy when I'm used to paying $37 on Amazon. At least we're going through diapers a lot slower these days.
We've tried Huggies multiple times and always had bad luck. The last time I tried them, she'd leak out within an hour. I guess they just don't do well with her body shape. I tried Target, but they smelt weird (IMO) and I didn't like that they got hard when wet instead of squishy. Absorbency level was just okay. I keep crawling back to those darn Pampers, lol.
I recently switched to CVS formula (since Target is just too far and they've been out of the big cans the past two times I went). It's $6 cheaper than Similac - wahoo. Anyways, I hope to get her on WCM completely before this tub runs out. I started giving her "real" meals today for lunch and dinner and it went really well. And I told DH that he cannot touch the food I buy for her.
To clarify: this means that you no longer get free shipping on things with Amazon Mom, right? And it also means that there's less of a discount on the other subscribe and save items?
This really sucks. I don't feel that we're really saving $79/year with the discount on these items, but having things arrive at your door is really nice. Plus, I've been ordering everything off of Amazon and if I don't have free shipping, that might not be worth it anymore. Grrrr!
