Vicodin for pain???

My regular doc was out so this other one I don't like prescribed me Vicodin for my bad headache . But everything I read says it's not a good thing to take so now Im hesitant ... But he's an ob doc so he should know... Any of you ladies took it during pregnancy? Thanks!!

Yep. I have a bad back (needs surgery after baby is born) and my ob gave me micro which is Vicodin. I didn't take it a lot but sometimes I had to! It was better for me to take it then to be stressed out crying all day. Every ob is different. Some will ok it and some won't. Also I was given norco after I delivered DD for pain and was Breastfeeding. But it's up to you if your comfortable taking it. I have plenty of friends that would not take it no matter what. Hope you feel better soon!!

Thanks! Well maybe Im a little too mistrusting . I guess it is worse for the baby when I don't sleep for 3 days straight instead walk around the house stressing out..Hope you get your back all fixed up. That has to be so hard on you

I've been dealing with severe pain during this pregnancy and vicodin was what my ob offered. I didn't end up taking the prescription because I didn't feel comfortable taking narcotics while caring for my boys 24/7 Wink

I do know someone else who has taken that while pg also.

I was on Vicoden for migraines during 3rd try when pregnant with DS. The script was written by my OB.

I've been on it my whole pg. I have fibromyalgia and take it to help with my pain at night. Since I've only been taking a low dose once a day both my pain management dr and my OB are ok with it.
