want to collect $ for EB (Tripp's condition)?

I found this organization: https://www.ebkids.org/  They give a full 99% of their donations to EB research.

We could use PayPal to my account, donate by a certain date, and then I'll make the big donation all at once in Tripp and Courtney's name.  I'll post a screenshot of the donation.  If you don't trust me, someone else universally trusted could handle the PayPal.

Is it a stupid idea because everyone can just donate personally on the site's link?

    I think one donation in their name is a great idea.

    I was wondering if someone was going to suggest this. On courtney's website, there is a po box listed. I was going to send a check directly to her. Over the summer, a fellow bumpie lost her husband. Once the obituary was published, we sent checks to an account listed. That may be an option for Tripp. Thank you for suggesting this.

    I think that would be a wonderful way to honor both Tripp & Courtney. Once things are in motion I would like details on how to contribute.

    It's a good idea - but if everyone donates on their own, then they can get the tax deduction (obviously not the reason one donates, but is a plus for taxes).

    I love the idea and I love how the bump community gets together to help but I feel the same.  When I first learned of Tripp and EB I sent a check to the organization.  I will do the same this year for next years taxes.  I am pretty picky with what charitable donations I make and we do make them for tax purposes. But if you don't have enough contributions for charitable donations to matter, this is a great way to give.
