Like many other women here, I will be a new CDing mom once this little one arrives. I am buying some cloth wipes on Etsy, and am wondering what you use for wipes solution (or if you just use water). It seems like there are many out there but I can't keep track of what oils are ok and what aren't, and what all will cause skin or repelling issues.
Re: name your wipes solution...
Water.
No baby is allergic to water, so why not just start there?

yup, i am also team water. my DS is only 8 weeks, and so he's got the watery breastfed newborn poop, so water is all it takes to clean it off. maybe once poop gets more solid we might need something else, but for now water does the job so we're just sticking with that
i put it in my peri bottle, which i leave at the changing table, and just squirt it on the wipes.
Baby Turtle - November 2014
I use a gallon jug and put:
1/4 c. Burt's Bees Baby Bee Unscented Wash
50 drops of Lavender and Tea Tree Essential Oil
1/4 c. baby oil (makes the solution glide over LO's bum really easily)
Fill the rest of the jug with water.
I keep a spray bottle full on the changing table and spray my wipes with it. I have a peri bottle in my diaper bag that's full as well. I like that I have a full gallon of it I can refill my smaller bottles with. I only need to make one batch every 4-5 weeks or so. I love the way it smells, too.
TheBump ate my profile. Oh well. New and improved.
