Question about the City Mini Double...

I've recently purchased the City Mini Double and after playing around with it and reading the short manual that came with it, I have a silly question:  When you fold it up, does it "click" shut or anything?  I have a standard Chicco so I'm used to clicking it shut before I pick it up to put it in the trunk etc. and was wondering how this will all work if it doesn't lock shut...  I have the Chicco car seat adapter attached to it as well, if that makes any difference.

Please help my pregnancy fried brain figure this out!  Thanks ahead of time!

Re: Question about the City Mini Double...

  • No, mine doesn't click closed- it just folds up. There is a click when it's popped into place when you open it, though. But not when you close it. When it's opened I just pull the straps and it folds up and I place it in the trunk. Super easy!

  • It's my ONLY complaint about the BJCM--If I need to stand it up instead of laying it flat, it can start sliding open, unless I turn the front wheel sideways & even that doesn't always work. It should either click closed or have a strap that could be used to keep it closed!

  • Just got mine yesterday.  I love it.  No click- I think the 2012 will auto lock though.  Current version has a strap you can use to keep it closed (bottom left side, as you look at it, at the feet) the instructions are on a single sheet of paper that was in with the manual.

  • Thanks for the responses, ladies.  I was afraid there wasn't a true lock.

Not the end of the world since it will be in my car 99% of the time, but kind of a pain when I'm storing it inside.  Right now it's wedged between a dresser and the wall in our guest bedroom to keep it from popping open!
