Hey all! So an acquaintance locally had a 26 weeker (2 pounds) and is looking for support. I gave her the blog to look at, and I tried to give her some of the tips I learned when we were in the NICU, but since we were 33 weekers and just feeder/grower, its a whole different world and I'm trying to see if there is anyone who might mind writing her a note or texting/calling her? Her baby is doing as well as possible. Still has a PDA they're trying to close with indocin, and has an IVH grade II right now. They've got a long road ahead and she has little to no support currently (the baby was transferred to Stanford, about 3 hours away from here, and they're staying at the Ronald McDonald house which is 80 miles from the hospital, so it's gas bills on top of no family/friends nearby, etc).
Thanks in advance!

Re: 26 weekers come in :)
I'd be happy to write her a note. I'm not sure how helpful that would be but if she wants support, she can contact me.
That really stinks that the Ronald McDonald house is 80 miles from her son's hospital.
OH MY GOSH.. Count me in.. like OscarQ stated I dont know how much help I can be. BUT I do know how to be supportive and give a shoulder to cry on or text on whatever is easiest for her!!!
Really Sorry they had to transport the baby so far from the house. they have to transfer our third baby when she is born to Childrens here in Seattle So I kinda know what she is going threw the anxiety of it all...
PLEASE feel free to pass along my Info! i hope I am able to help in any way shape or form!
