I'm with you- with more of a focus on health than a number on the scale.
I got pregnant with DD a couple months after I ran my marathon. I was in the best shape of my life when I got pregnant and I felt pretty good about myself throughout my pregnancy. We are TTC this Spring, and I hope I feel as healthy this time around.

No...I don't know. I'm 13 pounds away from my PP weight and I think we want to TTC also in April and part of me wants to lose it and part of me says what's the point. I seem to get up to the same weight every time no matter where I start so why bother. I'm about to eat some cookies so I must not care too much.

I did not before TTC this one, but I am going to be joining a gym this summer to try to get in better shape before TTC #3. It won't be a weight issue as much as a strength issue. I was in much better shape before DS's pregnancy, and this second one is really doing a number on me physically. I know that I wouldn't be having as many hip issues if I had been in better shape prior to conceiving.
I know I wont be trying again after this baby unless I can lose about 100lbs. Literally. I am severely overweight and have been miserable this entire pregnancy.
Well, I am trying to lose weight as I TTC. I don't ovulate regularly, so for me, it's not worth it to wait to hit a certain number on the scale. I am eating healthy, exercising, getting 8 hours sleep/night and taking vitamins. I am not doing anything extremely calorie-restrictive since that can have a negative impact on fertility, but I am overweight and hoping losing 5-10% of my weight will improve my fertility.
We're waiting to TTC #3 mainly for financial reasons (we'll have outgrown our house, we can't fit 3 car seats in our current SUV, etc), but part of it is that I'd like to get down to the weight I was for our wedding almost 6 years ago. I felt and looked great at that weight. I miss that.
we are waiting (like hello) for a certain time of the year to start TTC- I do this for a couple of reasons- wanting to avoid being huge and pregnant and running after TWO kids in the dead of summer with 100+ degree weather.... and my work schedule (I WAH)- Might sound sad- but for my sanity- I have to plan aroud my tax deadlines so I have less stress and can enjoy my babies-
Now- if I loose a few pounds before starting TTC that won't hurt!
I am, sort of. I am about 8 lbs away from where I was when I got pregnant with DS, it is kind of my goal to get back there before TTC again. I am working on getting a little healthier before TTC again, so weight loss is a part of that. I am working on exercising at least 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week and have been cutting sugar and some dairy from my diet. After two losses in 2011, I am hoping getting healthier will help me carry my next pregnancy to term.
I'm trying to lose about 10 lbs. I'm trying to break and develop a few habits too. But we gave a TTC date in mind and if we get there and I'm not 10 down, I think we will still TTC.
Kind of. Our deal was when I got down to my Pre-Pregnancy weight we would TTC again. My goal was to reach it before last New Year's Eve (2010/2011) but that didn't happen & I really wasn't mentally ready then anyway. I'm 9 lbs away from that weight now & 35 away from my "ideal" weight. I'm on WW & exercising 4 days a week & cut out quite a bit of alcohol since the new year.
DH & I have a trip planned to a friend's wedding in Jamaica in April & it will be our 1st vacation w/o DD since she was born so I think we will start TTC after that. I hope TTC is a bit quicker this time around. It took DH & I 2 1/2 years last time & I'm 37 & DH is 41.

I am almost the opposite. I am below my pp weight and still working on getting in better shape, but I almost feel like if I were heavier i'd be more likely to TTC sooner. At this point, I have a fairly flat tummy and it scares the sh!t out of me to stretch it all out again and be big and miserable. I gained almost 60lbs with my son, though. Hopefully it won't be that bad next time.

If I had waited to TTC until I was at my ideal size....I would still be waiting.
This is me, exactly. But, more power to ya, if you have the will power to lose weight and be at your goal. Losing wt has never been a strong suit for me, sadly.

I would like to loose about 45 pounds as I had to cut out my workout when pregnant with dd but would like to continue one in the next pregnancy.
If I don't loose it I won't be miserable but we are not avoiding the baby dance so if we get pregnant before I loose it, it's still a blessing
