Summer Infant Video Monitor- HELP

Well today when my SIL was watching DD she threw the handset of the video monitor in the toilet. It's a gonner.

Do you know if we buy another handset off ebay if it would sync up with our camera? It's a different model- slim and secure. We currently have a camera for the best view model.

    I don't know, but you can add an extra camera so it might work.  I would call the company and ask.  I had to call once and they were really helpful.

    Put it in a container of uncooked rice! I did the same thing and thought it was ruined, then my husband told me to put it in rice overnight, and it totally worked! The rice sucks out all the water and moisture. Apparently it works for cell phones too.

    I'd try the rice for a few days. I know that it will work with the same model. My girlfriend down the street has the same one as me, when we go to their house our handheld part will pick up on her camera part (if that makes sense)

    Lurker here. My brilliant dh dropped ours onto tile. Yeah the screen is broken but we still get sound. They don't sell the monitor part anywhere not even the website. I forgot about eBay. Off to look.....

    My dropped her phone in the pool and the rice trick worked.

    If the rice doesn't work-call their helpline. I know some are interchangable and some are not.
