Sex?

Anyone elses hubby/SO counting down the days til the 6 week mark to have sex? Im sure we could do it now but I just want to be sure everything is ok first. He is practically climing the walls.

    I think it was 10 weeks before we did it and it was a whole year before it didn't hurt horribly.  Tell him not to get too excited just yet!

    Mine was climbing the walls too...and he still is. lol. My DD is 2.5 months. We have made 3 attempts at sex and were successful once. It was very painful the first 2 times and I couldn't go through with it. The last time did not hurt but was still not particularlt fun :(

    Childbirth involves a lot of hormones, c/s or not, which in turn can cause painful dryness, tightness, and low libido. I didn't enjoy sex until about a month ago. Absolutely make sure you wait until you get the approval from your doctor to have sex...there is a large open wound in your uterus where the placenta detached that can get infected from sex. The wait period has nothing to do with c/s vs. vaginal.

    Every woman is different, but take it slow and make sure that your H knows it may not be possible for you right away. Most OBs recommend lots of lube, but that didn't help at all for me. The fact that you're not BFing may make it easier for you; BFing tends to make the hormonal issues about a million times worse, it seems.

    We had sex the night of my 6 week appointment and it was fantastic. Just go slow and have lots of lube. Don't push yourself if you're not ready.
