Baby Gate Recs needed

Ok so we have a dilemna and we need recommendations...we are considering creative solutions as well!

We need baby gates for both the stairs upstairs and the stairs to the basement. The only problem is that we have two cats who need to be able to roam the house as freely as they want. Their litter box is in the basement, and we do not want to quarantine them down there.

What solutions do we have?

TIA!

Re: Baby Gate Recs needed

  • We got a pressure gate and set it a few inches off the floor. Our cats squeeze underneath to get downstairs. It's not a big enough gap for Eliza to fit under. I wish there was a better solution but food, water and litter box are all downstairs and they have to get down there. I try to keep Eliza out of the kitchen as much as possible so there is no way she can get to it at all.

  • What a great idea!! Thank you so much for sharing. I kept looking for ones with larger spaces between the bars, but we have very big cats and I know they would never fit. This may just be what we end up doing. What brand/type are you using?
