So DH and I are both 35. I will be 36 in a few months, we have one child 19 months old which I didn't have any trouble conceiving. We both agree that we want to have at least one more child- but DH doesn't seem to understand why I want to do this sooner than later. We both come from large familes- and my Mom had me in her early 40's. I think he thinks it will be easy, but I am concerned that it might take some time to conceive. Did anyone else have this problem...?

YES!
We have a son that is 3.5 and my husband FINALLY gave the green light to start trying for #2. I turned 37 in December. We got pregnant with DS very quickly he thinks it will be a snap again. As we know, that may not be the case. They don't get it.
Good luck to you!
DOUBLE YES!
Hubbs thought that because his mom had a child in her 40's that having a child in your 40's would be a snap. I tried for two yrs to convince him that it's not a snap for anyone but especially for a 1st time mom. When he finally agreed to get a SA during the time I was getting IF tests, he only did it to pacify me. It was an uphill battle trying to get him onboard and from conversation online and IRL, it appears to be that way in most relationships. It wasn't until he got the MFI dx, that he began to really engage around the issue.
