  Would you consider North Clinic in Maple Grove?  I go there and LOVE Jana Haxton (she is a WHNP).  I really like her and I'm disappointed they encourage you to go to all the different OBs during your pregnancy to get to know them because I would rather just see her the whole pregnancy.  She has amazing bedside manner, very responsive to questions (and calls you back quickly!), and I feel she takes the time to get to know me and ensure all my questions are answered!  Not to mention she is very knowledgeable!  That's just my two cents worth!

  However, if MG isn't an option, I've seen most of the OBs that practice at the Robbinsdale office.  I really liked Dr. Karen Hessel and Dr. Sherry Paulson.  

  Let me know if you have any other questions as I've spent a lot of time with the various drs!

  Wow - looks like that's the place to be, from what I can tell from the rest of the posts .

  I appreciate the feedback, and it's nice to hear about the network of doctors.  I don't really want to go that far west, but it sounds like there's hope for North Clinic in general.

  

  So this is the miracle that I've been dreaming of...

  If you want to stay in Fridley, I'd highly recommend Dr Lisa Mattsen at the Allina OB/Gyn clinic at the Unity Professional Bldg (attached to Unity Hosp). She's awesome and I love her NP, Nicole Baker, as well.

  I would have to disagree about Jana Haxton - I had a HORRIBLE experience with her; she didn't seem confident in herself, and she was very rude to me in terms of talking about pregnancy.  I went to North Clinic in Maple Grove for my pregnancy and will be switching clinics after my experience in the hospital with the doctors.  There is very little communication among doctors so when you are in the hospital your plan might change depending on the doctor who is on call at that time.  I delivered DD 9 weeks early and had 5 out of the 6 doctors at our clinic - Dr. Hessel was my main doctor (I saw her throughout the entire pregnancy) and she was great.

  Sorry to hear about your bad experience...I seem to have the exact opposite with Jana.  She seems to be the one there that cares the most but I'm sure everyone has different experiences.
