Pacifier Puppy & Wubbanubbs - do they work?

I didn't even know this exists, until I came across some blog this morning on something unrelated, and the mom was talking about a wubbanubb. Now, DS uses a regular paci, not one of those hospital type ones, so wubbanubb wouldn't work, but I guess there is the pacifier puppy for those?? Anyone tried either of these? Do they actually help keep the paci in? DS moves his head from side to side, wouldn't that wake him up with it moving around? He also is obsessed with grabbing things, I fear he'd just grab it all night and never sleep lol. Also, are they safe? TIA!

  • My life is so much better because of the wubbanub! :) She can hold it herself and it entertains her while in her carseat. She also loves to chew on it while she's teething.

  • Absolutely!  I dont know what we would do without ours!

  • DS isn't really interested in his Wubbanub. He just kind of plays with the puppy but doesn't like the paci part. My niece loved hers though, she used it all the time!

Ditto. We have both the monkey & penguin. As soon we we give hit to her, she hold the animal for dear life (it's really cute). Her holding it means she is less likely to drop it. Even if she spits it out or it falls out, it stays with-in her reach to get it again.

  • We love ours. Before I could buy one I used a very small teddy bear that was given to LO and sewed her paci from the hospital to it with dental floss. I had seen wubanubs but didn't know if they would be worth the price. She loved her paci-bear so much that we bought the wubunub :)

  • "Santa" brought a Wubbanub for DS for Christmas.  He didn't know what to do with it at first.  We would put the pacifier in his mouth then he would pull it out and push it to the side.  He soon figured out that if he grabbed on to the monkey, he could put his pacifier back in his mouth.  It has helped a lot at nap time.

Ha, think DD has three in her crib right now! She actually only uses them in the car or carrier but they are fantastic, I can hand her her kitten and she will hold it and get the paci in her mouth if she needs it. Brillant!
