TTC after 35

Here's to hoping for the best, but expecting the worst!

I'm 11DPO and FF is giving me 56 points on the "early pregnancy signs" portion of the pregnancy monitor...But, since my last BFP was January last year, I made the call. I scheduled an appointment with the IF clinic. Fortunately for me, switching to the cheaper health insurance option through my work, has given me full IF coverage.

Here's to hoping I get a BFP in the next few days and won't need it.

Re: Here's to hoping for the best, but expecting the worst!

  • Fingers crossed for you Adi!  I only have the free "basic" FF chart so I have no idea how those pregnancy points work but 56 sounds good!  Keep us posted!

  • Loading the player...
  • Good luck!  I hope it's your month for a BFP.  When are you testing?
  • Llama - I only have the free also, but for some reason the Android App give me a little of the VIP stuff. lol Wink

  • Brooklyn - tomorrow is 12DPO... I'll try tomorrow, I have some Wondo tests, and a dollar Tree test...but I don't expect much. Even when I HAVE been pregnant, I don't get early BFPs.

If I actually get a faint line... I have 1 digital test to use in a couple more days.

Oh really?  I think I will look for it on my phone and enter in my stats to check my points!  :)

(I tested yesterday to make sure there were no beans attached yet because my Mom was taking me to a wine tasting... I only tasted a couple)

  • Good Luck!

But great news on the fertility coverage.  I hope you don't need it, but I am a bit jealous.  I'm OOP for any treatments, at least all the testing is covered.

Shoot I was hoping I could get more VIP info on my phone--but it is just the same account I have on my lap top.  I had the free VIP membership for a month but now I am on the VERY free one.  Oh well.

  • Good luck, Adi!  Sending every good vibe I can your way!

I have my annual check up this month - and since this is cycle 6 - I'll be asking her for recommendations for who to talk to next...getting old is no fun.... But I am glad that my insurance had pretty good coverage of IF treatments.

  • Good luck!  Glad that you have infertility coverage and will be able to move forward if you need to.  We had coverage in 2011, none for IUIs or IVFs in 2012.  Hoping that you don't even need to use your coverage!

  • Wondfo and Dollar Tree agree

    BFP!!!!!

OMG I'm a nervous wreck. I woke DH up at 4:30 this morning to make sure I wasn't imagining the lines. They are faint, but they are definitely there. I'm going to wait a couple days then try the digital. If it shows pregnant, I'll go to the OB for a confirmation. (just when I had scheduled an appointment at the fertility doc for next week too!)

  • YAY ADI!  We needed this - hope you are starting a mass migration to PG>35!

  • Darn it! I'm not migrating yet... AF isn't due til Friday, but I need dental work, and as soon as I whispered that I was pregnant, they wouldn't touch me with out a docs note, and of course, being 4 days before I expect AF, and not FMU, their test was negative. The nurse said my test was most likely more sensitive to the ones they buy, and I should still consider myself pregnant, but she had to put negative in the system. I'm supposed to go back to retest next week (fortunately My office is closed on Monday, but the doc's office is open)
  • Good luck! I hope that congrats are in order :) I'm also really jealous of the insurance coverage. Mine covers nothing!! If the clomid doesn't work, then it's all out of pocket from there.

Remember when we use to get jealous over fun things like clothes or handbags, not insurance coverage!! lol
