  I use whatever is cheapest.  We usually use LUV's because they are cheapest when you buy them from Amazon.  We just bought a box of Huggies from Costco just because it equaled the same price per diaper as the LUV's.  I used the walmart brand once and the tabs ripped off of two diapers (they weren't too small, in fact they were a size up for nighttime), but they worked as far as absorbancy.

  we use pampers baby dry, but i have no problems with the target diapers in terms of absorbency.  the only issue with them is i find the tabs dont' re-stick well if you open them to peek in the diaper.

  I only use name brand Huggies or Pampers but that's b/c I had trouble w/ generic's leaking or the velcro tab breaking off.  I used a pkg of Luvs when DD was a newborn and they worked well. The only issue I have w/ Luvs is that they're only available in my area at Walmart and other stores I don't visit often.  I'm a convenience girl.

  Up and Up have been the best for us (price not factored in).  So, we buy those, and they are almost cheaper than anything else out there.  Bonus for us

  We use Giant brand diapers at day care since they're supposed to be changed every two hours, and Luvs at home. Even if DS goes a little over two hours because he's sleeping, I rarely bring home wet clothes.

  pampers baby dry for us - i haven't tried anything else other than a few samples when he was a nb of huggies which leaked everywhere...

  i just stock up when they're on sale...i don't really want to buy a box of the walmart ones if they don't work then i'm stuck with them so i just stick to what works
