Spotting After Internal - Normal??

I had an internal yesterday afternoon - and I have had a tiny bit of spotting ever since - it is not bright red. But the thing is this was my third internal - and I never spotted with the first two - is this normal - should I call my OB??

I spotted a lot after my first, none after my second, some after my third... So IMO there is no rhyme or reason. But I'd say a little spotting is fine.

Totally normal and to be expected especially if you are progressing.

I'm thinking this might be what happened to me last night, too, after my internal earlier in the day. I never had it with previous once either, but this is the first one I had with some dilation.

I had the same thing happen. During my entire pregnancy I have not spotted after an internal, and after my 39 week I was. she said it was perfectly normal, as the internal can irritate the cervix which is already progressing. If it's a huge amount, then I would call, but if not I wouldn't worry.

I spotted after my third (and incidentally last) internal at 38.5wks, but the doc had ended up stretching me to 1cm in her processes of checking (I still blame her for bringing on my labor! lol). I would say it's normal to spot as long as it's not a lot or bright red.
