Why I <3 the May Board!

Sooo yes, its 5:14 here and I am sick and awake and creeping on The Bump....bleh

Occasionally I go over to the Multiples Board to ask questions or to see what everyone else is up to.  Its hard because these women are at so many different stages of pregnancy and motherhood, but I still get some interesting information from them. 

This morning I was reading a post from someone who was wondering if women carrying multiples had symptoms or a feeling before their multiple gestation was confirmed by a doc or ultrasound.  She got RIPPED apart by these women!  I guess they get that question all the time - then just ignore it and move on!

And on that note I am possibly going to end up an April momma - but I refuse to switch or even lurk between the board because I enjoy you all too much.

Thank you all for all of your kindness and understanding - even when I think we post "dumb" or "goofy" questions - we are all happy to answer in the nicest way possible and I enjoy that about all of you. I forget that on other boards women hiding behind a screen name can be super b*#@$$.

    I very rarely visit any other boards because they are insane. I see the craziest stuff and people are soo mean.

    Yeah, I stay off the other boards except for the Over 35 and Single Parents ones. Both of those boards tend to be more mature. I've seen a couple of posts where the comments have been along the lines of step back into reality, or grow up alread, but nothing that outright flames another woman.

    I might end up being an April Mama too because of my planned c-section.  There is a possibility it could end up being one of the last days in April.  I will stick here though.

    I don't understand why people have to be so mean...if you don't have anything nice to say, just keep it to yourself!  That's why I like this board too...no baby mama drama :)

    Of course you should stay on our board! There is a chance I could deliver in June, but I don't "know" those ladies. We have all made it half way together so don't move on us now. We will all be so uncomfortable and hugely pregnant in April, so we will be jealous and celebrating with you in April! The other April mommies will be too tired from popping out their own babies to celebrate with you. :)

    I Was lurking on different month boards last night.  I always thought all the month boards were nice... Apparently not!  I'm glad I'm on what seems to be the only nice board on this site :)

    I predominantly post here and occasionally on PGAL which is also really nice but and that's it.  The other boards freak me out, especially the Tri boards, not sure why they get such different posts but it's often crazy over there, they are good for a read if you want to laugh at drama but this feels like a safe haven!   I <3 May too.

    I LOVE the May board! I occasionally check the Tri boards but it's tough with so many women not knowing each other and not being at the same gestation, etc. Plus they are crazy sometimes! Lots of drama. Love our board here, feels like we all know each other, have gift exchanges and labor buddies and a blog and spreadsheets - I love all of it! I wish we could all meet up one day with our cute little babies, if only the country weren't so large! Stick out tongue

    I agree. Some of the stuff I've seen on the other boards almost made me swear off TB forever. Then I found you ladies. So you're stuck with me now!

    I have had the same experience. My 40 week EDD is May 21.  I was told May 1st was our EDD when we first found out it was twins.  He has since revised that estimate to April 21st, but I don't want to move off the May board when I "know" and like the people here. 

    I too have found the multiples board to be a little harsh.  They seem to be most aggressive with women who post about having extra bad symptoms and could it possibly be twins. I know they must see them a lot and it is probably frustrating, but they get pretty sarcastic and rude about it.  I have kind of been avoiding those posts as they seem pretty helpful in most of the other posts. 

    It is nice to be here on the May board where we are all pretty close together in experience and timing. But I am also enjoying hearing about twins of all ages.

    That's why I stick to the month boards. The trimester boards are always mean. They 2u2 boards go too fast and don't care about new peoples questions either.

    The only other boards I like are the natural birth and cloth diapering. They get ripped apart by others so often, they're nice to each other.

    I went to look up that thread...holy cow!  That was insane!  That poor woman probably thought she was asking a legit question (maybe a FTM).  I might have even asked it if twins ran in my family or I was pregnant from IVF treatments.  Lordy, the last thing you want to do is attack a newly pregnant hormonal woman.  So unnecessary.

    I actually didn't post anything for a few months because I saw how cruel these other woman are to each other.  Seriously.  I wanted the info, but didn't want to get involved in the drama.  Thankfully, after a while, I found you ladies.  And I am very glad.  I want to support you guys, and get occasional support back.  I don't want to be ridiculed.  I could go over to my in laws for that.  So, thanks ladies, for being kind.

    Same here.  I'll most likely end up in April (my OB even suggested March the other day-- scared the crap outta me!!), but I'm staying right here!
