Welcome back! Don't make me hunt you down! Tell us how your week went!
QOTD: What non-exercise, non-food habit or activity do you consider vital to your health and well-being? (This could be meditation, relaxing baths, catch-up phone calls with your best friend, or just about anything else!)
Re: The Health Also Rises: Thursday Check-In
Its been a good week. I havent seen any huge losses (I'm down 2lbs), but its not making me as discouraged as it has in the past. i know what i'm doing is right for me, regardless of what the scale says. That and AF arrived today so i'm hoping the scale is kinder in a few days
i am superly motivated to feel good at that adoption party!
Blogs: Our Growing Family - CT Working Moms

I've had a good food week, and have tracked my calories every day since Jan 1st (sadly, this is a big deal for me). Unfortunately, I feel like I'm gaining weight, not losing it - I don't know if that is true since I'm weighing once a week, but I certainly feel yuckier and frumpier than I did before I started really paying attention again. Boo. I need to pick the exercise back up, and will be taking this nice three-day weekend to do so.
I don't have an answer to the QOTD! That's why I am trying to steal your ideas
Have I ever posted in these threads??
Hmmm, not sure....anyway, K and I just set a schedule so that I can run again. I'll be running Tues/Thurs and then on the weekends as possible. Not as much as I was running but at least it is a start. And we've also started cooking and freezing meals. We hope this not only helps with the budget but will help us eat better and eat home made meals more often.
We had a health fair sort of thing at work this week. I was able to have my cholesterol and blood sugar levels checked (all is good) and also find out about my BMI/hydration/etc. That last part was very interesting. I was able to weigh myself on a good scale and found that I weigh 8lbs less than I was guessing. This made me 1) sorta sad because my body is in sad shape so I thought I was much heavier; 2) realize that my body really is shaped different post-pregnancy and 3) have more motivation because that is 8 less pounds I actually have to lose.
QOTD - sex ;-) j/k...sorta...
I have an internet connection on my computer again, woooooooohooooooooo! Ok, back to the topic at hand...
My health/eating/exercising sucks. We just got a stove on Monday and have had a few decent meals but I feel like I've been in an eating rut because we aren't fully settled in the new house yet. My meals come after the kids (if I get the chance to eat) and are usually something quick to throw together or more snack-like.
The only exercise I've gotten is unpacking/organizing and wearing Apple or playing with the puppies, nothing worthwhile. There is a large group of bicyclists that rides by on the weekends that I may flag down and ask if I can tag along with sometime.
QOTD: These days it's me (quiet!!!) time. I hardly ever get to read or spend any length of time doing something for myself now so my me time has been a hot shower at the end of the day, I try to take as long as possible so I get the best relaxation and de-stressing effect.

I lost 4.5 lbs this week! Yay! I switched my WW mode from maintenance to weight loss, actually tracked, and ran at the gym 3 times. Very, very happy with this.
I just started seeing a therapist a few weeks ago and I'm finding that's been really good for my health and well-being.

I think I'm doing okay, although I don't have a scale here in D.C. so I have no clue about that. Still vegan and basically refined carb/gluten free. I've brought lunch with me to my internship every day (mainly salad, veggies, hummus, nuts, fruit). I've been eating a Luna bar most days because they're easy to eat while on shift. While they're not bad health-wise (just dates, nuts and fruit) I should cut back because the cost adds up. I've been walking a lot, both at work and around the city, which is good, but I'd love to get to a yoga class soon.
I agree with TT.
