People always say to nap when LO naps but I find it nearly impossible. Which results in me being exhausted by the time evening rolls around. I just find that every time LO goes to sleep I am doing laundry, eating, showering, paying bills, etc. and then by the time I'm ready to lay down he wakes up.
Re: Do you nap when LO naps?
Daytime naps do me no good. They make me more tired than I was before.
While he naps I shower, clean, do laundry or other junk around the house. That's WHEN he naps, which isn't often.
No - like everyone else, I do other things - computer, eat, clean, dishes, laundry, workout, etc. Now he's sleeping much better at night so I'm not really even tired.

Up until last week I didn't need to. Dd was almost sttn and I was only feeding once or twice so I didn't need the extra sleep. Now she seems to have flopped her days and nights. She has been up from 11pm-5/6am with little catnaps but mostly cluster feeding or wanting to be snuggled. Then like magic she would fall asleep and I could lay her down and she would sleep from 6-noon with only One feeding lasting 20 min around 9:30. So that stretch has been when I try to get all my sleep in.
I wish I could! DD1 takes one nap a day thats about 1 hr. Unfortunately DD2 seizes that time for BFing so I only have a few minutes to myself. I bump while DD2 nurses.
I have mastered eating while holding a baby and I do laundry / house work while wearing DD2 and giving DD1 things to "help" me with (she's only 19 months).
I would love to but DD1 (2 YO) keeps me pretty busy and they never seem to be able to nap at the same time.
I have trouble falling asleep, I sometimes feel on edge about when she will wake up next or if she will even sleep well and whether or not I will have to feed/change her soon.
Today I somehow managed two short 45 min naps. I think it's because it caught up with me.
