Are there any that DD can't make a water table or "water floor" with? She knows that she can press them down to get the liquid out. I take them away when she does this but I feel like I'm depriving her of hydration.
We often do a cup w/o a lid, b/c she seems to have more respect for the big girl cups than a sippy. She does knock them over sometimes, but she doesn't fool around with them either. We just fill it about 1/4 of the way and keep refilling as needed
Re: Sippy cups
We've had great success and no leaks with these two:

Sadly, my child has figured out how to defeat these too. She fills her mouth with water and then lets it all dribble out.
Yup mine does this too.

I don't know if a sippy cup will change that.
